244-Hour Program

Driver Training - Full Time (244 Hours)

For those applicants seeking a Class 1 Full Stage licence. Applicants will be trained on a 13-speed manual transmission tractor trailer combination unit. Our 244-hour course has an optimum mix of theory and practical training. After completion of this course, students will possess the skills necessary to obtain entry-level employment as professional Class 1 drivers.

Program Pre-Requisites

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Manitoba Class 5 Full Stage Licence
  • Valid M.P.I. Medical submitted to M.P.I.
  • Class 1 Authorized Instruction Permit
  • Air Brake Learners Permit

Training Breakdown

Six weeks of training includes the following:

    • 80 hours of classroom theory
    • 80 hours of practical training
    • 80 hours of observation
    • 4 hours M.P.I. road test evaluations*
  • Two M.P.I. road test attempts are included with the course.
